Is age a factor for FMS?The Risk: The risk factors for the FMS disorder are varied and some of them are almost confirmed while others yet do not bear any convincing evidence. The individual’s genetic predisposition is also the greatest risk factor for fibrimyalgia. The FMS disorder seems to run in the families and the hereditary factor is very important in almost every disease. Indeed the age factor of the patient is very much important in the FMS disease. People between the ages of 20 and 60 are at the highest risk of developing the fibromyalgia, but it is equally true that the disease may strike at any age. The disorder usually occurs in people between 20 to 60 years of age but some research has found that the individuals of the age of thirty five is like the peak age for the onset of the disease.
